These terms apply to locksmith work we carry out and to your use of this website.
Quotes and Pricing
A price given on the phone is based on what you describe: what is locked, the hardware involved, the location and whether a key still exists. That price stands for that job.
If what we find on arrival is materially different from what was described, we will stop and give you a revised price before continuing. You are free to decline at that point.
Proof of Ownership and Authority
We will not open a property, vehicle or container without satisfactory proof that you have the right of access. Acceptable proof includes photo identification matching the address, a lease or tenancy agreement, a vehicle registration or title, or an insurance document.
If you cannot provide it we will decline the work. A call-out charge may still apply where a technician has already attended.
The Nature of Lock Work
We open non-destructively wherever the hardware allows. Some high security cylinders, damaged locks and safes cannot be opened without destructive entry, and in those cases we will tell you before proceeding and quote any replacement hardware separately.
Doors, frames and locks that are already worn, damaged or badly fitted may not survive a normal opening. We will point this out where we can see it in advance.
Payment
Payment is due on completion unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Accounts for commercial and property management clients are available by arrangement.
Hardware supplied and fitted by us carries the manufacturer's warranty. Our workmanship is warranted against defects in the work itself, not against later damage, misuse or subsequent adjustment by others.
